John has been building software inside product-driven companies for over a decade. As a former Apple product manager, John learned how to build and launch delightfully simple consumer products and played key roles in developing web and mobile applications for iCloud and other Apple cloud services offerings. Most recently, John was the co-founder and COO of GoNoodle, an online learning platform that is actively used in over 80% of US elementary schools to get kids moving throughout the school day. John is a strategic product leader with proven ability to set a vision and strategy, build a diverse team of highly-capable people, and create great products that solve important problems.
John, his wife Walker, and their 3 boys live in Gilbert, AZ. When not creating software, John can be found playing ice hockey, lifting heavy objects, or smoking something on the Big Green Egg.
Gabe is one of the original founders of Brushfire. He has a true passion for creating market-defining products and helping organizations re-imagine how to reach their constituents through technology. In 2006, Gabe became a founding member of Brushfire and Shotzoom Software (Golfshot). He went on to build a series of highly successful digital properties in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Gabe, his wife Farrah, and their five kids live in Gilbert, Arizona.
As Director of Client Products, Kari is responsible for making sure each project is successful from start to finish and handled with care. Her attention to detail and desire to see your project succeed sets her apart. Prior to being at Brushfire, Kari worked at ad agencies in California and Arizona. She brings to Brushfire more than 10 years of experience in marketing and advertising for clients in varying industries including professional sports, healthcare, retail and nonprofit organizations. Kari and her son Greyson reside in midtown Phoenix.
Sam has been the chief architect on many of our highly complex mobile projects with his experience in development of software systems and systems integration. Previously with L-3 Communications, Sam built training systems for Air Force F-16 pilots. Who hasn’t?! Put simply, he loves solving difficult problems and building cool products. He received his undergrad degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Arizona and his M.B.A from UC Irvine. With three young kids, he spends his spare time coaching on their flag-football and volleyball teams.
Nathan began his design career in luxury package design and quickly transitioned to user interface design after doors opened. He’s worked for local agencies creating show-stopping web and mobile applications for Shutterfly, TNT, Disney/Pixar, Pepsi, and Subway. His focus these days are on building digital products on behalf of the end-user without sacrificing business needs. Nathan is a father, a husband, and spends the little time he has leftover making handmade prints that are sold at shops in the downtown Phoenix area.
Logan is constantly striving to make each product as fun and robust as possible to captivate users. His background in game development and zoological trivia keeps projects entertaining and sometimes even educational for everyone involved. Logan's knack for seeing new ways to convey information in fresh and meaningful ways is a major part of why our clients love us. When not writing code or studying migratory patterns of the Monarch Butterfly, Logan can be found trying to beat the high score in Super Mario, Hiking with his Corgis, and learning about 15th century Bohemia.
Tod is the senior web software architect at Brushfire. He sets the standard for how Brushfire delivers products over the web and is passionate about creating outstanding software solutions for our clients. Tod has worked in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. Before working for Brushfire, he was Director of Software Development for an international non-profit headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ where he successfully led his AZ based team from his home office in Central Illinois. When Tod isn’t outdoors enjoying the beautiful Midwest, he’s indoors playing boardgames and PC games with his wife and son.
Brad has helped dozens of nonprofits worldwide develop innovative strategies to tackle their biggest problems. From strategizing on how to fundraise in the new digital age to building products that drive increased value for constituents, Brad plays a key role in helping Brushfires nonprofit clients. He lives in Dallas, TX with his wife Katy and their daughter.
